After the signing of the contract with the Qacc – Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, for the supply of furniture for the office of Civil Aviation at the new international airport in Doha, capital of Qatar, designed by the architect Farid Boumahdaf, the delegation composed by the architect Bernaoui Hamid, director of the design studio of the French company ADPI, who designed more than 28 airports around the world, together with the architects Diaa Eldin Allam and Geoff Harvey and the engineer Massimo Sattin, Technical Manager of Aktor, has verified the progress of work.

The guests have landed in Palermo on July 31, they have been greeted by Antonio Rizzuto, CEO of Escooh and they visited the historic centre of Palermo with a stop at Palazzo Sambuca – which has become the symbol of the recovery of one of the largest historical centers in Europe – restored by the engineer Marco Giammona.

On Monday, the government technicians – accompanied by the technical staff of Escooh – have visited the production centre for the presentation of the works done for the International Civil Airport of Qatar. After a careful and detailed report on the progress of work, they passed to the inspection of the mock-up of three products: service counter, serving area and conference desk.

The architects – representing the Government of Qatar – have appreciated the work done by the design and production centre of Escooh in the last months and so, they congratulated the entire staff. The Escooh innovation lies in the enhancement of the corporate network through the collaboration with the professionalism of excellence in Sicily.

The last day in Sicily, the Qatari delegation, thanks to the intervention of the engineer Giammona – developer, designer and project manager of the prestigious intervention of re-functionalization and restoration of Palazzo Butera, an old noble residence in the heart of Palermo –  had the honor of meeting the Professor Massimo Valsecchi, an internationally renowned art collector, who recently purchased Palazzo Butera. and now he is renovating it.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the headquarters of Artficial, a start-up in which, through modern 3D printing techniques, they realize clones of famous art works. Currently, they are working on 4000 jobs.

Subsequently, we were greeted by the company Fogazza Pavimenti. The company visit has been planned in every single detail: our Qatari guests attended to the manufacture of tiles and they even ventured to make one!

The three days have flown and they left in our minds countless new insights about our work. We covered many kilometers, visited wonderful places in Palermo that we did not know, we mixed our culture with another one quite different from ours, we tasted the best of Sicilian cuisine and, above all, we said goodbye to our guests with a promise: to establish a profitable collaboration for exporting our business in Qatar and around the world.
